Many people are still unsure of what exactly the should expect when they engage the services of their local tree surgeon. Read this helpful blog to make sure you know exactly what a professional tree surgeon should (and shouldn’t) be doing….
- Your tree surgeon should be fully insured for a start. Felling trees, especially on roads or in built up residential areas can be tricky and there is always an element of risk involved in any larger tree dismantling or felling operation. If you are unsure, ask to see their insurance policy, this should be readily available. At Poplar Tree Solutions we are fully insured and our years of experience and specialist equipment minimises the risk of damage.
- Your tree surgeon should be fully qualified. A chainsaw is not a toy and all tree surgeons are obliged to undergo extensive training to qualify them to handle a chainsaw. Aerial rescue, tree felling and chipper qualifications are also a must. Again , if you have any doubts…ask to see their certificates.
- Your tree surgeon should be dressed appropriately in chain saw boots, climbing clothes (where necessary), face and head guards are an absolute must. A climbing tree surgeon will always be accompanied by his groundsman, thus guaranteeing his safety in the tree. Chances are the local gardener in his wellies is not going to be able to get the job done safely or efficiently.
